Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC) member Bruce Lawson recorded his 2013 biography of Charles Rolls for his own amusement.

At publication, the late Lord Montagu said in his Foreword to the book ‘This most fascinating character should be re-examined for the modern generation’.

Broadcaster Andrew Marr said ‘Charles Rolls was a great British hero, out of Central Casting – we’ve been missing probable good about him for far too long’ and Tom Clarke commented ‘Rolls’s doggedness, his sheer enthusiasm have appeal today…This lively biography set a cracking pace and all parts of Rolls’s life are laid out in a sympathetic way’.
